K-8 Reading and Writing

In Technology for Educators so far we are learning about how technology is effeting the world of teaching and learning. With technology being a major tool in the classroom and how it is ever changing teachers and students have to keep up. I found this great website for teachers and students that helps developement in reading and language arts. Seeing how it is related to the subjects that I want to teach I found it interesting.

http://www.educationworld.com/lang_lit/k_8_read_write.shtml is the link. It provides teachers with ideas for lesson planning, journal entries, and even vocabulary words for there students. Also, it provides students with a guide to help them write there own biography, essays, and how to use citations.

As far as reading processes are concerned it provides quizzes and word search to learn advanced words. Not only does it have information and processes for teachers and students but, it also provides a great deal of information for parents. Under a skills portion a parent that may not know how to help there child can learn what to point out while reading or writing. It has fun and games that create a more exciting approach to learning between parents and children. Not only does this website provide academic information it helps with children that have social issues. It provides the parent with logical ways to help the child develop socially from as far as child birth.

It help in rearing the child into the family and helping them adapt to their surroundings. It has a lot of information to help parents help there children.

The website also provides articles and column reading to broaden the students outlook on not only school but, society in general. This website is for mainly K-8th grade, but can be substantial for parents as well.
